Does ShowerGuard glass need renovation?
Unlike mechanically sprayed layers on the glass that form a chemical film which requires renovation, ShowerGuard® is a durable coating that does not need to be refreshed or re-applied. The protective coating is covered by a lifetime warranty of GUARDIAN.
-
What cleaning and care products can I use for shower enclosures with the ShowerGuard glass?
To enjoy the benefits of ShowerGuard® coating just flush the glass with water to remove residual soap (after every use of a shower enclosure). For cleaning you need only a soft cloth or wet sponge. There is no need to use commonly used cleaning agents, but when the need arises, this is acceptable. Do not use strong cleaning agents and sharp objects that could damage the coating or glass.
-
What is the difference between the ShowerGuard glass and the EasyClean coating?
The way how the EasyClean coating and the ShowerGuard glass works is the same. The difference lies in the production process and the need to refresh the coating.
The EasyClean coating is a polymer protective layer applied in the processing of glass. Unfortunately, under the influence of water and cleaning agents the effectiveness of the coating is gradually reduced, so every 6 months, we recommend refreshing the EasyClean coating with the GlassProtector agent.
The ShowerGuard glass is a lifetime coating, which is an integral part of the glass. Unlike mechanically sprayed layers, ShowerGuard® is a durable coating that does not need to be refreshed or re-applied. It is covered by a lifetime warranty of GUARDIAN.
-
How often does the Easy Clean protective coating have to be restored??
The Easy Clean coating should be restored with the Glass Protector agent every 6 months.
-
What cleaning and care products can I use for shower enclosures with an EasyClean coating?
For cleaning enclosures with an Easy Clean coating we recommend Glass Cleaner and Glass Protector liquids.
-
Do all the shower enclosures have got the EasyClean coating?
All the series of shower enclosures have got the Easy Clean coating – with the exception of series Premium and Classic.
-
How can I identify glass with the EasyClean coating?
Drops of water on glass panels with the EasyClean coating do not stick to the surface but run down. To find out quickly which side of the glass panel has the EasyClean coating we suggest a thick marker test: a mark made on glass with the EasyClean coating will wash off. Glass panels also have special stickers on the side with protective coating.
-
How does the EasyClean coating work?
The EasyClean coating is a protective polymer layer deposited on the surface during glass processing. It makes cleaning of the shower enclosure much easier. It has water–repellent properties, which is why water drops are not maintained on glass surface, but they run down without leaving precipitates. See the video.
-
What does it mean that the glass is safe and tempered?
Tempered glass is 3-4 times more resistant to impact than ordinary glass of the same thickness. After impact, tempered glass remains in place intact or cracks in a safe manner, i.e. it falls apart in small, unsharp pieces, minimizing the risk of injury. Glass used in all Radaway shower enclosures complies with EN 12150:1 standards for safe glass.
-
What is the thickness of the glass in the Radaway shower enclosures?
The thickness of the glass in the shower enclosures is 4-8 mm depending on the range. In each shower enclosure model you will find information about the thickness of the glass.
