Q&A - Glass, protective coatings

  • For cleaning enclosures with an Easy Clean coating we recommend Glass Cleaner and Glass Protector liquids.

  • The Easy Clean coating should be restored with the Glass Protector agent every 6 months.

  • To enjoy the benefits of ShowerGuard® coating just flush the glass with water to remove residual soap (after every use of a shower enclosure). For cleaning you need only a soft cloth or wet sponge. There is no need to use commonly used cleaning agents, but when the need arises, this is acceptable. Do not use strong cleaning agents and sharp objects that could damage the coating or glass.

  • Drops of water on glass panels with the EasyClean coating do not stick to the surface but run down. To find out quickly which side of the glass panel has the EasyClean coating we suggest a thick marker test: a mark made on glass with the EasyClean coating will wash off. Glass panels also have special stickers on the side with protective coating.

  • The thickness of the glass in the shower enclosures is 4-10 mm depending on the range. In each shower enclosure model you will find information about the thickness of the glass.

  • Tempered glass is 3-4 times more resistant to impact than ordinary glass of the same thickness. After impact, tempered glass remains in place intact or cracks in a safe manner, i.e. it falls apart in small, unsharp pieces, minimizing the risk of injury. Glass used in all Radaway shower enclosures complies with EN 12150:1 standards for safe glass.

  • The EasyClean coating is a protective polymer layer deposited on the surface during glass processing. It makes cleaning of the shower enclosure much easier. It has water–repellent properties, which is why water drops are not maintained on glass surface, but they run down without leaving precipitates. See the video.

  • All the series of shower enclosures have got the Easy Clean coating – with the exception of series Premium and Classic.
